Please meet ANGUS, a 1yo sleek black cat with a sweet and playful nature. Given the chance, Angus would be a delightful addition to any cat-loving home.

Strange and sad because in Asia and Europe, black cats are popular and are said to bring wealth, bless marriages and keep homes safe.

And the scientists tell us that black cats are healthier than other cats because the genes that make their fur black also make their immune systems stronger.

But getting back to Angus, he's an energetic youngster that enjoys a game, a cuddle and generally being close to his favourite humans. Initially, he can be a little shy in a new environment, but he soon warms up and forms a bond with his humans.

Angus enjoys playing with other cats and has previously lived in a home with dogs.

He lives inside exclusively and is litter-trained. He takes pride in his appearance and is scrupulously clean.

Angus is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped, and his adoption fee is $300.
