About Adina - 8 Year Old Labrador (reviewing apps)
Meet Adina, a beautiful 8 year old yellow Labrador. If you are looking for a relaxed companion around the home, then look no further!
Adina loves to follow you around and sit at your feet, or hop on the couch and cuddle with you. She really enjoys a pat and she loves it when you talk to her. She has a typical Labrador tail-wag that shows how much she loves to be around people.
Adina was used to breed puppies and just recently had a litter before coming into care and we would like her to live the rest of her life being spoilt and relaxing inside a home with people who love her. Adina would love the quiet life. Adina loves going for a couple of short walks a day (around 15 mins).
Adina seems to be toilet trained and so far hasn't had any accidents inside the house. Adina is learning to sit for her food. Adina does tend to jump up on people when excited and so her new owner will need to have good balance on their feet. Adina's new owner will need to continue teaching her that she only gets attention when all 4 paws are on the floor. Adina’s new owners will need to continue training with her.
Adina currently sleeps inside on her dog bed at night and she is quiet and calm. Adina must be allowed to sleep inside at night.
During the day, if you need to go out and work, she will be fine outside in the yard. She does not bark if left outside by herself. She is a quiet and lovely lady.
Adina is keen on interacting with people than other dogs. Although she is fine to hang out with calm, polite dogs, she would get cranky with young dogs trying to play with her. She would ideally be the only dog in the home so she can soak up all the attention, or alternatively she would be fine living with another calm-natured dog.
Adina has some mild skin allergies which means her paws get a bit itchy. This is currently being treated with antihistamines and Malaseb wash. Adina's skin will need to be monitored by her new owner and the regular washes will likely need to continue.
Adina is such a happy girl with so much love to give!
To register your interest in adopting Adina you can fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
PLEASE NOTE: When applying for our dogs and puppies, please ensure to list the name of the dog you wish to adopt. Please do NOT just list the reference number or the microchip number as this will delay your application reaching the correct foster carer.
You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au or www.petrescue.com.au
