Butch - 4 Month Old Mastiff X (On Trial)

Butch is a lovely, quiet boy well suited for a family with another dog who is a little older to guide him.

He has been in a family home and loved his human 3yo foster brother. He is in the process of becoming house trained and is learning to respond to his name.

He will need ongoing training to make him an even better lifelong companion.

Butch is beautiful once he gets to know you however can be a bit reserved with new people he meets. He will quickly warm and come in for a cuddle with a friendly face. He loves hugs, rubs and sometimes forgets his size and would love to be a lap dog. He loves to lay on couch with you or sleep in his cozy bed. He does not like storms/fireworks and will hide/sleep under your bed.

He is still quite young therefore should be adopted by a family experienced with larger breed dogs. He has not been exposed to pockets pets or cats but given his gentle nature, I do not see him being to interested in these.

Butch would love a fur brother or sister of similar age/energy levels and requires someone to be home more often then not. He seeks to please however is not overly food motivated.

In his current foster home he can be hand fed and approached by the carer without batting an eyelid.

- Suits house with other dogs of similar size as he is going to be a big boy
- Loves people and older children
- Very cuddly and friendly
- Needs fully fenced yard, no gaps or low fencing.

Butch’ adoption fee is $700 and he is vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped. As Butch is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he will need to be returned to a DRN approved vet for desexing when he is approximately 5/6 months old.
