About Pearl
Hello Hello Hello
Now I know my photos don’t do justice but let me just let you know who I am
I am one very special girl according to my foster mum – I think she means cause I am super fun and make her laugh but she also says it’s my DNA – I am a Dachshund x Basset Hound
Yep! So I have the long gorgeous body of a dachshund and I have the ears as well but then yeah I also have the Bassett hound ears and the fat stumpy legs!!!
So my name is Pearl and I am 4 months and 2 weeks old and I’m ready to find my forever family – please be you!
My favorite things to do in the world are to take naps on my back and wrestling with my fur siblings oh yeah and exploring things with my nose.
Hmmm my nose – well it’s an awesome thing – I can sniff a dog treat from a gillizon miles away (or that’s what my foster mum says). She also says it can get me in trouble sometimes as I stick it places I’m not supposed too – like finding where the dog food bag is and then self-serving – but I do it with a smile of my face and a twinkle in my eye!
I am currently in care with all ages and sizes of dogs and just love playing with them and being part of a furry gang.
I love to hang out with my humans and will even try to rest my head on your foot when you are trying to cook dinner at night – I tell my foster mum that I’m just trying to love her!
I love sleeping on the bottom of the human’s bed at night but will also be just as happy sleeping on a comfortable bed of my own.
I love to learn and I love when I get told how good a girl I am – I just want to make you so proud of me at all times.
I’m good with kids and love to run around and play with them – I will happily play with them outside and also inside if they want – I am also a good couch buddy (don’t select a movie for me as I will probably fall asleep within about 20 minutes hee hee) but I will happily be your sleeping buddy while you watch it.
I am not tested on cats but since I want to be everyone’s friend so they will need to be happy with a dog that will want to play with them and probably be up in their face with a tail wagging.
My foster mum has said that I need a home that will love the sweet girl I am but also continue working on my training as I’m still such a baby.
The rescue has also said that even though I have Basset Hound in me I also have dachshund so that is a big thing that my family will need to remember (stairs for the bed, no jumping off couches etc) and at the moment while I have the dachshund body I will be bigger than a normal dachshund but probably not as a big as a full size Basset Hound
If you are looking for a dog that is going to bring a lot of love into your home – please complete the below application!

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now
Please note - We don't take calls on adoption enquiries - an application must be completed
We can also be found at https://www.facebook.com/pawprintscanine/
Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
