About Joey
Hi, my name is Joey! And I'm looking for my furever home!
Me and my 7 siblings were born in care
I'm pretty smart! I can work out new situations super quickly and how to adapt my behaviour to get what I want. For example, I worked out how to climb onto the lounge all by myself when mum refused to keep picking me up.
My foster mumma also said something about puppy school which I think I'd really enjoy as well. As far as toilet training goes, I'm getting a lot better at going outside but I will still need some encouragement, particularly going into a new environment. I sometimes get a bit emotional when I go to bed in my crate but I usually fall asleep after 10 minutes or so. I sleep most of the night without issue and will let out another cry or two when I need to go to the potty!
I'm only a tiny baby at the moment so I haven't had a whole lot of socialisation yet (diseases and all that) but I'd love a family that was committed to exposing me to lots of different things so I grow into a great, all round doggo!
My foster mumma says I'm the most playful little man! I love nothing more than wrestling with tuff toys, pulling on ropes and chasing squeaky balls! Don't let that fool you though, I do love a good cuddle with my favourite humans!
Having a dog brother or sister at my new home is a non-negotiable. I currently live with 2 big foster dogs who I absolutely love to shreds and couldn't imagine my life without another doggo. As long as I had a doggo sibling, I'm not too bothered about whether my new mumma or dadda worked full time, as long as they still have plenty of time to spend with me!
I've also met this other creature, I think my foster mumma called her a cat? She doesn't want anything to do with me and honestly, she's boring so the feelings mutual. I think I could live with a cat furever though as long as the cat was comfortable enough to tell me off when I'm not being respectful.
I think I'd also like a medium-large back yard, just because I'll probably end up being a medium-large doggo and it would be nice to be able to stretch my legs!
If I sound like the perfect addition to your family please send through an enquiry!
