About Mollie
Mollie is a young Kelpie x with the biggest zest for life. She may only have 3 legs, but she doesn't let that stop her doing anything. (Mollie lost her leg in an accident before coming to us) She loves nothing more than playing with other dogs, chasing balls and playing with toys. Mollie is excellent on lead and thoroughly enjoys walks, a harness may be best for her to help with balance when walking on lead. Swimming is also great exercise for a 3 legged dog. She is extremely social, and her favorite thing is a belly rub. She's still learning to be less excited, especially around young children and will need a gentle reminder as she grows out of puppy hood. Being a working dog breed, she does have strong herding tendencies and will require both physical and mental stimulation in her new home. Mollie will need a home that understands that some things may need to be adapted for her to be comfortable. For example in her foster home, raising her bowl height helped her at meal times.
Mollie is toilet trained and crate trained. She finds it hard to relax without access to her crate both during the day and a night, so its important her new home is able to support her with this. Her forever home will need to include a desexed young male dog companion, plenty of room to play and run (not suited to a small yard or apartment living) toys and interaction for mental stimulation and a spot for sun baking. Not tested with cats or other animals.
*Please only apply if you are ready to meet and adopt this pet now, and if all family members are in support of the adoption.*
Medical notes
Mollie lost a leg in an accident before coming to us. The vet has cleared her medically and she will only need a few miner adjustments in her new home to live her best life.
Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
