About Lucy
Introducing human-loving, tail-wagging and good-looking superstar Lucy. This lady loves connecting with people of all sizes. You can expect regular toy delivery’s throughout the day, and Lucy has refined the perfect hug over past three years. She’s the queen of cuddles and has the habit of rubbing against your leg like a cat!
Lucy thrives within her own familiar bubble. She’s fine to be left alone and goes to the toilet in the back yard, where she also spends a little time harassing the resident bluetongue, playing ball or chewing toys. When her owner is on the phone, Lucy tries to get her attention by tugging her clothes or dancing around. What a cheeky little thing!
However, Lucy becomes a very high-needs dog if exposed to stressors. Her behaviour is stable in her own environment, but she must have limited exposure to novelty. This means that life is best without going for walks, living that feline kinda lifestyle. She’s terrified of other dogs and loud noises like storms and fireworks. This said, if her requirements are met, she’s a great, young and happy dog.
Ideally, Lucy’s new home has plenty of interaction with people and a yard for play and exercise. Her anxiety levels will most likely increase during the transition from home to home. Under the guidance of a behavioural vet, Lucy would like to gradually move into her new loving home to try to remove as much novelty as possible to help Lucy adapt.
Sadly, Lucy's owner is looking for that special new home for Lucy due to health issues in the family.
Medical notes
A letter from Lucy’s behavioural vet will be provided upon adoption.
Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
