About Diesel
Diesel is a handsome black Border Collie x Kelpie with just a splash of white on his chest and toes. He is 8 months old and ready to charm his perfect family.
He is a friendly, intelligent and confident chap who loves to run and play, alone or with the other dogs in his foster home. He loves it when his foster family plays tug or fetch with him.
Diesel came into foster care with very little training and has learnt so much in the last few weeks. He loves to learn new things and is a very fast learner.
He can sit, drop and shake hands. His recall at home is good when there are no distractions. He can walk on a lead but needs to work on keeping the lead loose when there are exciting things around, like other dogs or people.
But how to cuddle and snuggle with hoomans are the best things Diesel has learnt while in foster care! Sometimes he even gives his foster mum a sneaky kiss when she isn’t looking.
Diesel is crate trained and will happily go in to sleep or rest. He LOVES his crate and will switch off as soon as he goes in. He is house trained and catapults himself through the doggy door.
He travels well in the car and loves an outing. He would be a great addition to an active family who understand his breed and commits to his ongoing training. A walk or two a day is not enough for Diesel. He needs (and thrives) on mental stimulation and learning new things.
Diesel needs a secure yard with room to stretch his legs and do zoomies. A home without cats or pocket pets would be best for Diesel. He would suit a home with older children.
**Diesel is located in NSW...
Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. A meet and greet can be arranged if both parties wish to proceed, and we also offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
