About Mackerel
*In foster care in Rozelle, Sydney*
Playful and cheeky, Mackerel is wonderfully cat-social, having grown up with her mum Marinara and her kitten siblings Sardine, Bonito and Trout. She loves a good zoom around the house, and being the best eater has gained the advantage in their more physical games - levelling up recently to even challenge Marinara to the title of Champion Wrestler, which she loses every time. She's getting there, though!
When it's time to relax, this little tuxedo treasure will quickly find an accommodating lap or warm kitty body to cuddle up with. A nice belly rub as she's drifting off to sleep is the purrfect way to end her busy day :)
Like all Maggie's pets, Mackerel is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will have plenty of room for me to investigate and explore! I've grown up with my three siblings, and really enjoy snuggling with them and chasing them around, so a nice kitty pal in my new home would be awesome!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I love racing about like a mad thing, rumbling with the other cats and playing with my stick feather and toy mice. But I also enjoy quality snuggle time with my favourite humans, especially on the couch :)
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I'm adaptable and affectionate, so I think I'd like to live with kids! I’ve met a couple of children while in foster care and had a great time playing feather toy with them.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I get along fantastically with my kitten siblings - so I'm definitely open to making new feline friends in my new home!
I haven't met any dogs yet so I'll require a gentle introduction. Because I'm so easygoing though, I don't foresee any problems :)

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
