About Buddy
Hi, my name is Buddy and I am looking for MY new buddy!
I am currently living with some lovely foster carer's and they believe it's time for me to find my new forever home.
They would like you to know -
"Buddy is an energetic and affectionate dog who will make a lovely companion for a family with lots of space for him to run around in. He enjoys the company of people and always wants to be part of the action. For Buddy it's always playtime, or time for the next adventure. He has socialised with our family Kelpie, and while he was a bit boisterous to start, he settled in and played nicely. We think he would like to have a friendly de-sexed canine companion, who can match his energy levels. He is social and inquisitive and will always seek you out to see what you are doing. Buddy is a working dog by nature and is incredibly intelligent - he shows the desire to round up livestock, and with appropriate training would make a great working dog if that's what a person is looking for."
Buddy's ideal home would be one where people are dedicated to continuing his training. He is an excitable boy who will need calm interactions as he can be quite "jumpy". His foster carer's have been working with him on this and rewarding his good behaviour when he has all paws on the floor! Because of this, a home without small children is necessary. A home with older children could be ok.
Buddy has very high energy demands, so daily exercise is a must. To keep his busy brain occupied lots of enrichment if you can't be there will be required, otherwise he may become destructive.
Buddy loves toys and a kick of the soccer ball, and a good game of tug of war!! Lots of walking in different environments will also make him a happy dog. He sleeps in a crate inside at night, but knows that outside is for the toilet. he also loves a drive in the car, watching the world go by.
If you think you have what it takes to be his "buddy" please call us on 5978 9001 to make an appointment to meet him.
