About Abby
Darling little Abby is one of the smallest in her litter, but she valiantly keeps up with the others for most of the time and then conks out and has to have a big sleep! She has a lovely gentle nature and is a very talented cuddler indeed being very fond of lap time and snuggly cuddles.
Abby was born in a remote indigenous community in the Western Desert region of Central Australia in the NT. She was given into care with her mum Gracie and her brothers and sisters by the elderly couple looking after them. They were struggling to care for them, and wanted them to have good tucker, grow to be strong and healthy and find nice homes. Mum Gracie is a Territory Long Dog - having a normal sized body with short legs weighing in at 13 kg. We expect Abby to be very similar fully grown and have included a photo of Gracie in Abby's photo reel.
Abby has a lovely nature and is confident and self-assured. She is a cooperative little girl, naturally well- mannered and easy to teach. She will be a great family dog, and love to be included in family activities and outings.
Abby is currently in foster care in the NT. She will be ready to travel by air to Adelaide in mid-December. Her flight is included in her adoption fee.
Medical notes
In addition to the usual parasite management of worming, heartworm prevention and tick and flea prevention, Abby will have blood tests for the full panel of tick-bourne diseases endemic in the NT, including Erlichea Canus. If the results indicate treatment is needed, this will be provided.
