Hi! I'm Rubee, and I've lived with dogs, kids, cats and even pet rats before. But we've recently discovered that I'm a bit too interested in chickens to guarantee their safety.

I was adopted from SAFE 7 years ago, and I'm only back because my owner recently passed away. When I came into care I was a bit blue and very clingy. I watched the door hoping each new arrival would be my old owner. But I'm getting used to my foster carers' routine and I'm a lot more relaxed now. I'm really enjoying my two walks a day and meeting all the dogs in the local dog park. My favourite is schmoozing all the employees at the local City Farmers--they can't resist my big brown eyes.

I'm a smart, calm and loving girl, and my carers say any adopter would be lucky to get me. I know how to use a dog door, and I don't stress when left alone, but my carers think I'd do best in a home with another dog and an owner (or family of owners) home more often than not. I thrive on physical touch and I love to be included in whatever you're doing. I'm a big girl (almost 37kg) but my carers keep saying I'm surprisingly easy to walk. I'm aware of my size, and am respectful with little dogs, but if a doggy companion of similar size wants to play, I'm happy to oblige and I can still play like a puppy.

I'm NOT a fan of thunder--I dissolve into a quivering, shaking heap until it's over. Please don't leave me alone outside in bad weather--I'd prefer to hide in a soundproof room or closet away from the noise.
