About Annabelle
Hi my name is Annabelle, my siblings and I came into care after we were found dumped on the side of a rural road. Can you imagine that!? Something as sweet and cute as me dumped and left to fend for myself! None of that matters now though because thanks to the team at BVAR, I've had all my essential vet work done and I will have the best shot at a beautiful life!
I haven’t had much interaction with other dogs, but have met a few at the vet during my appointments, I was peaceful around them and mostly just found them interesting. I love the resident cat, sometimes I can be abit much for him though so will need supervised interactions at first
I would do fine as an only pet, along as I have people to love and be loved by. I tend to get super hyper, where I run around and play like a crazy person, then after wearing myself out I will rest and not really want to move for a a couple of hours.
I currently sleep inside in my crate at night, and have naps outside on my doggy bed through the day. I was previously spending time both inside and outside through the day, however I am mostly outside now.
I love children, but it has been noted that I tend to forget my manners around younger ones so would be best suited to and family with older or no children in the home.
I can be very wary of people I don’t know, but it does not take long for me to warm up to them once I’ve been introduced to them properly.
I absolutely adore throwing around my skeleton chew toy and playing tug of war with my big blue rope. My favourite game is fetch, I’m getting really good at bringing the ball back every time. My absolute favourite treat is pigs ears, cows throats and a nice juicy bone from the butcher.
My basic training is going really well. I know how to sit and stays on command. I do tend to pull a bit on lead when I practice my walking so will need some extra time spent on this
My toileting is great!! I do all my toileting on the grass. I can sleep the whole night in my crate without any accidents. On the occasions when i do need to 'go' I will whine to get your attention.
