About Brandi
********************** PLEASE APPLY AT www.gsrv.com.au ****************************
Beautiful Brandi is 5 years old and is desperate to get out of her current situation and into a loving forever home.
Brandi has previously been an inside dog, loved and welcomed as part of the family. After being taken in by a family member, Brandi now finds herself banished outside to an overgrown backyard with weeds and grass taller than she is and there are faeces everywhere. Brandi’s environment is not acceptable, she deserves so much better than the life she is currently living.
Brandi is very confused and a little stressed about her new life, she doesn’t understand why everything has changed and why she is no longer included as part of the family. Brandi jumps up at the back door begging for company and becomes very excitable whenever someone comes outside; she jumps up for attention, desperately hoping she may be given the affection she is craving. For now, Brandi is best suited to a home where everyone is over the age of 10 years old and whom have experience with large breed dogs with a tendency to jump up.
Brandi is a complete sweetheart that adores everyone she meets; she is incredibly affectionate and loves to play fetch and tug of war. Brandi is a people dog and is happiest when she is close by to her humans, she must be welcomed inside in her new home and included as part of the family.
Brandi has not had much exposure to the outside world and gets very over-stimulated when out walking. Brandi has not received regular exercise and gets very excited when she does go for walks and will pull towards and sniff everything she can. It is clear Brandi has not had enough experience on a leash, she is very distracted and needs to start back at the basics with her leash manners. Brandi would benefit from walking in quieter areas to begin with and gradually being exposed to the outside world so that she doesn’t become overwhelmed.
Brandi needs an experienced owner that is confident and dedicated to doing training with her at home, Brandi knows very basic commands but needs to be reminded of her manners and skills. Brandi would benefit from 1 on 1 training to begin with whilst working on her socialisation and exposure. Short training sessions each day will help Brandi to grow her confidence and skills so that she is prepared to take on the world!
Brandi has had very little exposure to other animals, when she sees another dog, she barks and becomes a little erratic, jumping up to the end of her lead, vocalising her desire to get closer. Brandi needs to practice staying calm around other dogs so that she can successfully walk past them without becoming overstimulated. For now, Brandi needs to be the only dog in her new home, she is not ready to interact with other dogs just yet and needs to undertake further training and socialisation before she interacts with others.
Brandi has not had exposure to cats but enjoys chasing birds and other small animals, she is best suited to a home without cats or other small pets or may be suited to a home where she can be permanently separated from them.
Brandi’s entire world has been turned upside down, she is lonely, confused and craving the love and attention that every dog deserves. We are determined to grant Brandi’s Christmas wish to find her the perfect family that she has been dreaming of.

Adoption details
We offer a 'Foster to Adopt' program. This means that the dog will go to live with their adoptive family for 4 weeks to ensure it is the perfect match for both the dog and new family. After the 4 weeks is complete, if all has gone well, the adoption is formalised and your new doggy companion is officially yours!
If you are interested in adopting from us, we ask that you fill out the Adoption Application form on our website (via the link provided below) with as much detail as possible, including the name of the dog you are interested in.
We do not rehome female dogs to a home where there is an existing female dog. Whilst there are always exceptions, it is generally unwise to have two females together; two males can sort it out, a male and a female can sort it out, but when two females fight, the results can be disastrous. For this reason, following the advice from numerous Veterinary behaviourists, as well as our own experience from the last eight years, we do not rehome females into homes with other female dogs.
All of our dogs are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated
Puppies (2 months to 4 months) - $1000
Puppies (4 to 6 months) - $800
Adolescents (6 months to 1 year) - $700
