About Maya
Although still quite young, little Maya has bags of personality. Confident and adventurous, she loves playing with her siblings and is full of ideas for fun games. She can often be found in the centre of a puppy wrestling ring. When play time is over, she likes to retreat to someone’s lap for some cuddle time before bed. Maya is very good at letting you know what she wants but is a happy, undemanding little pup when her needs (usually food) are met.
We think she is very pretty with her brindle coat, white chest, black nose and bright eyes. It is difficult to know how big she will be as, unlike her mother, she has quite long legs. We guess she will be a medium sized dog of 10-15kg when fully grown. She would do well with a doggy companion.
Maya was born in a small Indigenous community in the Western Desert. Her family asked us to take in her mother and siblings as they were struggling to care for them. From the age of six weeks she has had a quiet protected puppyhood, spending time indoors and outdoors and socializing with her siblings and adult dogs. She is now ready to start the search for her forever home.
She will be ready to travel in mid-December and will travel to SA by air. The flight is included in her adoption fee.
Medical notes
Maya is healthy and growing well. In addition to the usual parasite management of worming, tick and flea prevention and heartworm prevention, Maya will be tested for E Canis and the other tick-borne diseases which are endemic in the NT. If treatment is required it will be provided
