About Scout
Hi! My name is Scout, but I go by Scoots, Scootle Boots, and “get down”!
I’ve had a pretty tough life so far, me and my litter spent 5 months of our life malnourished and attacked by our parents over food. I had a broken shoulder for months before me and my siblings were rescued. My shoulder has all healed now, but the mental scars still linger.
I’m quite a nervous girl, I find comfort in my foster mama and my foster sister, but strangers scare me and I will “scoot” around the outside trying to build up confidence for a sniff. I’ll need a very patient and understanding female who can help build up my confidence with strangers (especially males) and continue with the training my foster carer has put in place to combat my fears.
I find small fluffy things fun to chase, so no cats or pocket pets please! I love dogs though, I love to wrestle and play bite and chase my doggy friends around. I can get quite rough and not listen when I’m told to settle down so I will need a very tolerant doggy companion who is well adjusted and can help show me that this big old world isn’t so scary.
I need someone who has a history and understanding of stubborn minded bull breeds as well as timid dogs. I’m cute as hell, but I’m a lot of chaos in a tiny body.
I know how to sit, I’m a champion at sit. I will sit for grass. I will sit for treats. I will sit for dinner. I will sit for a photo. I will sit just so you can tell me “good sit!” My toilet training is about 80% there. I need to be let out regularly because I’m not good at asking to go outside, so I sometimes have accidents on the floor, but I am trying my best to gain the courage to ask to go out for toilet!
Once you gain my trust, I’m a super cuddly, playful, and silly companion who wants to be with you wherever you go. Due to my timid nature, I’m going to require multiple meets with my foster mama to build up a relationship before I go to my new home. Could you be my person?
