About Chips
CHIPS is a gentle and sweet-natured two-year-old Border Collie that would make a loyal and loving companion or family dog.
Like most Border Collies, he's keen to please and very affectionate. He welcomes everyone with a wag of the tail and gratefully receives whatever affection comes his way. A gentleman by nature, he knows not to jump up and doesn't misbehave intentionally.
He's learning his basic commands and is clever and highly trainable. You can see from the video that he's trying hard to walk well on the lead and is very responsive to our photographer's praise. He posed for photographs like a pro.
Chips is dog-friendly and currently lives happily with three other dogs. He is tolerant of the next door neighbour's cats. He is fascinated by (and protective of) the neighbour's chooks and has assigned himself to guard duty at the fence during the day.
He doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body and is definitely a lover, not a fighter.
A low maintenance boy, Chips is house-trained and takes himself off to bed at sundown. You don't hear a peep from him until morning.
He's not much of a barker and is only tempted to bark when he's playing with his canine mates.
Chips is a lanky, tall Border Collie with a light frame. We're trying hard to put some meat on his bones and if you think he's thin now, you should've seen him when he first came into care. He has a healthy appetite and still has a few kilos to gain, but he'll never be a fat dog.
His adoption fee is $395 and he is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped.
