About Saffron
It’s time for our resident scruffer to find her very own forever family. Saffron turns heads wherever she goes and she basks in the glory!
Saffron came to us from a rural NSW facility and is learning all about life in the big smoke. She loves getting out and about and her foster carer is doing a great job of gradually introducing her to new places and situations. She can get a little overwhelmed in busier environments, so her new owner will need to be dog experienced to watch her stress levels and ensure she is exposed at the right pace. She is currently in care with 4 other large and giant dogs and loves a good playtime or snuggle with her doggy friends. Her new owner will need to continue her gradual socialisation with dogs outside of the home, but the ones she has met so far she has loved.
She is very easy to fall in love with as she has a very sweet, gentle and appeasing nature. She is very interactive when a human or dog is available, but also just as happy to entertain herself. She loves the water so would enjoy a home where she can dip her feet from
time to time.
Saffron’s training is coming along well. She is a smart, young girl who is very food motivated and is brushing up on her basic training. She sleeps through the night in a crate and will vocalise if she needs to go to the toilet. She has started leash training and is gaining confidence travelling in the car. Her new owners will need to be prepared to continue her training to ensure she grows up to be a good natured adult dog. She will need a good amount of daily exercise as an adult to keep her happy so we will be looking for a home that will have the time to take her out daily for a fun adventure.
She will do best in a home with a yard, but could live in a unit if her owners can demonstrate the ability to sufficiently fulfil her needs being a big dog, who is used to always having outdoor access. We will be looking for a home with another confident, well trained and social dog for Saffron to share her home with. If you do not have a resident dog already at home, she will need people home most of the time and have the ability to let her play with appropriate doggy play mates regularly.
Saffron will need a home where she is allowed inside as part of the family and provided a comfy bed inside to sleep in at nighttime. She needs a good quality diet and lots of opportunities to explore new things.
Saffron is going to make an amazing companion for an equally amazing home. Fill out an adoption application form on our fetching dogs website as the next step in the process.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
