About Bento
** In foster care in Newtown **
Just a year old herself, Mama Bento was found on the streets with a litter of kittens. Underweight and suffering mild cat flu, A kind stranger brought her and her tiny babies in and called Maggie's Rescue to help. Since then she has been thriving in care, putting weight on and finding out how nice life inside is! Her kittens are all grown up now and Bento is enjoying the comforts of being cared for.
Bento is a stunning grey tabby with bright green eyes. She is very chatty and loves to have a conversation! She is learning about the finer things like soft lounges and playing and that pats are pretty nice! She loves a chin scratch and will flop for attention. She's not too keen on being picked up yet or sitting on your lap but she's affectionate on her own terms.
Bento is longing for her forever home and can't wait to meet you!
Like all Maggie's pets, Bento is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: A home where I can continue to build on my confidence and be loved on by my humans.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Low although I'm finding more energy for play now my kittens have grown up.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I've not been around too many children yet but I would be ok with older kids who can respect my boundaries.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: My foster home had dogs and cats so I've been around them - I was pretty good with the small dog (Terrier X) who kept a respectful distance from me so I didn't hiss or anything. I was not keen on the other cats and would yell from a distance, although that may have been because I was protecting my babies and I might be ok with another cat now that they are grown.
Medical notes
Mild cat flu when first came into care.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
