About Eddie 🐩pedigree Toy Poodle (On Trial 29/11/22)
Eddie is a pedigree Toy Poodle aged 1 year and 8 months. He bonds very closely with his people and needs to be with them. He will follow you around the house and keep you company as you go about your day. He is a fun-loving little man who likes to chase a ball and is pretty good at bringing it back. 🥎
Eddie would be very happy to live with another dog. He loves to go for a walk but doesn’t like to be near other dogs when he’s on lead. Our trainer can advise you how to help Eddie be less afraid of other dogs on the street. Eddie is house trained. We haven’t tested him with cats.
Eddie wouldn’t enjoy a busy household with children under 12 years old but he’d be fine with young, polite visitors. He isn't suitable to apartments.
💝 Eddie is feeling a bit lost after being surrendered to Dog Rescue Newcastle and he gets very distressed if left at home alone. Therefore, we are looking for a loving family where there is someone home all the time. Perhaps a couple with either adult children or a parent at home? You need to have a plan for not leaving Eddie home alone, at least for the first couple of months. This could include taking him to a friend's house or someone coming to your house when you go out. Our professional trainer can advise you.
✅ Eddie has a beautiful, non-shedding coat which means he doesn’t drop hair around the house and can be better for people with allergies. He needs daily brushing and professional clipping every 4 to 6 weeks. This can cost around $80 so you need to be prepared for that. Eddie weighs approximately 5kgs.
🌺 Eddie is in foster care in Lake Macquarie, NSW (south of Newcastle). He is only available for adoption within NSW and ACT.
Eddie's adoption fee is $800 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas, worms, vet checked and microchipped. He is in excellent health.
