About Betty
Betty has a big luscious coat and she's been really loving all the brushing and attention that it requires. Betty would probably really benefit from some more one on one attention as in the group she's the one who will hang back a little and patiently wait for an opportunity for pats.
Betty will also need time, training and patience to learn to walk on a lead, become toilet trained and establish recall. She lacks socialisation but since being in care she has integrated really well into her foster carers home with her pets (dogs and cats) plus met a few people successfully. She travelled well whilst crated and was good to bath.
Betty developed a slight cough on Sunday (6th) but is responding well to antibiotics and will be cleared by the vet prior to leaving care.
Betty has been desexed, C5 vaccinated and treated with Simparica trio for fleas, worms and heartworm. Her adoption fee will be $850.
Although we will respond to all enquirys, an application must be completed to be considered. www.radarescue.org/adoption
Medical notes
Betty had a respiratory imfection early in the month but responded well to antibiotics and has made a full recovery. She may benefit from some on going allergy medication, depending on your garden.
Adoption details
Firstly you will need to complete an application with your name and address and contact details for the microchip records. Our online application form is available on our website https://radarescue.org/adoption
Or an application form can be requested by using the Email Carer feature on the pet's listing.
Please note that while we consider all applications in the order in which we receive them, our animals are not adopted out on a first come, first served basis. Our objective is to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable ‘forever’ home available to meet the animal's (and the person’s) characteristics and needs.
The final decision about which new home the animal goes to is made by the foster carer based on their knowledge and understanding of the potential home and the personality of the individual animal. Sometimes it may take several enquiries before you find the right RADAR furry friend for you!
We will need a non-refundable holding deposit of $50 minimum to hold a pet for you whilst awaiting everything to be finalised, however this amount is deducted from the adoption fee.
RADAR expects full payment on exchange of the pet or prior to it leaving on transport.
RADAR expects you to be responsible for transport costs. We can help source appropriate transport options or help find accommodation if you need to travel and stay overnight.
It is understood that if all goes wrong that you can return the pet safely and unharmed to RADAR for a full refund within two weeks of the adoption.
