About Atlas
Atlas is a 3.5 month maremma pup who came into care after a completely inappropriate homing by his breeder.
He is currently in foster care with older host maremmas to train him plus a whole crew of other breeds to socialise, and doing well on both fronts.
He is 21kg at 14 weeks, and an absolutely delightful boy who is very dog social and is starting his chicken training under supervision. Though as those who know LGDs will understand, he is about 18 months of training away from being able to work independently.
He is an independent, friendly soul, who will require a rural home with knowledge of maremmas or other LGDs, and preferably with an older LGD to show him the ropes, or an owner willing to train him. .
Applications from urban/ suburban will NOT be considered.
As a rescue, he will be rehomed with a desexing contract requiring desexing via one of the rescue's vet clinics. For this reason, applications from Hunter/ Central coast/ Hawkesbury may be given preference.
Sorry if we seem hardline. Atlas is a great pup who has already had one inappropriate rehoming. We are not planning to repeat that mistake.
Medical notes
Atlas has had his first 2 vaccinations ( c5). His adoption contact requires desexing by 6 months visa one of the rescue's vet clinics.
