About Charlie
Sweet little Charlie is a Toy Poodle mix who has found himself searching for a forever home. Charlie is 4 years old and as cute as a bug.
Charlie will need a very special home with a patient owner who is happy to help him. Charlie is looking for a human that is very experienced with frightened dogs. A human that is patient and realises that along his path to being a happy more relaxed dog there will probably be a few nips. Charlie is definitely a work in progress so needs an owner who is up for the challenge.
Charlie is very fearful and will give you a nip when stressed. He does get along with other dogs though. Charlie will cautiously take treats from your hand so is definitely improving while he has been in foster care. He loves going for a walk with the other dogs but getting his lead on can be difficult. Charlie does like company and is happy to sit on the other end of the couch.
Not too close though please!
If you reach out to tickle his ear there is a chance that he will give you a nip. Sometimes he likes it but at this stage he is unpredictable.
Charlie will thrive with the right human who is patient with him and willing to give him a chance to gain confidence and feel safe in the company of humans.
Charlie is in foster care in Mosman NSW.

* Rent or own your home? Written agreement is required by your landlord/real estate for rental properties outlining that dogs are allowed. Our dogs and pups will only be adopted to homes where they are allowed inside to be part of the family. Real Estate approvals must state that this is permitted.�
* Opportunities for socialization outside the home? Whilst some of our dogs are best in only dog homes, most of our dogs have been provided with lots of socialisation and will need this to be ongoing.
* Work commitments? How long will the dog be on their own? �
* Why do you think this breed will be suitable for you? Breed type experienced owners will generally be given priority.
* Will you allow this pooch to live both inside and outside as part of the family? �
* Yard check will be done to confirm you have a fully fenced secure yard and adequate shelter when the dog or pup is outdoors.
Wally's Doggie Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family. He/she will be desexed,1st and 2nd vaccination, microchiped, wormed and flea treated regularly and a health check done by our vet .
