About Kobi
Do you ever think to yourself, “you know, one shadow just isn’t enough”? I can fix that! I LOVE my special person and want to be as close to them as possible, almost all of the time.
My name is Kobi and I am a Poodle x Maltese who is 3 years and 3 weeks old.
I’m sweet and snuggly, funny and lively. I’m also terrific company, happy to lie quietly at your feet while you work or in your lap while we Netflix and chill. I also make the perfect wingman for all those road trips we’ll be taking together.
I’m friendly with other dogs, and live with two at my foster home, but when it’s time for couch cuddles I want to be in poll position. If your existing dog is happy to share you that would be ideal.
I do enjoy playing with the other dogs here, zoomies and wrestling are my favorite. I also love fetching my ball, playing tug and testing out every toy in the toy basket.
I do from time to time do the freeze and give side eye (and the occasional growl) to another dog if they have a toy that I want (or a lap) so while I'm great with other dogs and would like a friend I need another dog who will either not react or not really care I'm being a bit of a wolly.
I do have what the vet calls some separation anxiety - So I am looking for a home where there is someone home more often then not, someone who wants a really buddy to be with and can take places with as well. Please note this does mean that for the first few weeks of being with you I will probably be clingy to you (like accompany you the toilet clingy) but as I get comfy this will drop off.
I have been known to bark and let my humans know if there is a unusual neighborhood noise in the neighborhood, but my foster mum says I have great recall and can be re-directed.
I’m toilet trained and take myself out through an open door here. In an emergency I will use puppy pads too. I am also crate trained and sleep through the night in my crate but I’d also be happy to share your bed if you’re open to that!
I did arrive a bit itchy, but after two weeks of treatment, and a good, healthy diet that is defintely under control (oh yeah I suppose the vet had something to do with it too - he gave me some needle that really helped with the itching).
The vet has recommended that I continue these for the next 3 months (once a month) so please make sure you factor that into your budget when looking to adopt me - but please don't let that put you off me I'm so totally worth it!!
I have also been put on a well balanced food plan , single protein diet, but we can talk about that when we meet - I know it might sound like a lot of things but it's really not - simple easy and gosh does it make me healthy! (but please note there is potential for skin issues to recur if not managed correctly - following a good diet and vet advice).
I have been around kids and I'm great with them, I mean come on thats just more little bodies to follow around and be friends with.
I am untested with cats so that could go either way when I meet them.
I’m young, fun and ready to commit to my perfect match. Hit the application link, and let’s make things official!
** Applications will close Tuesday 29th November 2022 at 5.30pm

All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now
Please note - We don't take calls on adoption enquiries - an application must be completed
We can also be found at https://www.facebook.com/pawprintscanine/
Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
