About Phineas
Hi I'm Phineas!
My human friends have told me I'm something called 'Blind'? I don't really understand what that means - but I can run around, explore and play just like every other kitty! I am a bucket of laughs with lots of energy, and a bit of sass to top it all off!
Because I can't see I can sometimes get startled by being touched and respond by attacking whatever is trying to grab me. My foster carer is practicing announcing "touch" before patting my back and I'm getting much less startled. I have even learned to occasionally enjoy cuddles after I've had a decent play session, though in general I prefer a more hands-off approach (let me come to you)!
Do you own an oodie? They are my favorite texture! When I'm ready for cuddles I like to rub myself all over them whilst doing loud rumbling purrs.
I find new things very exciting and would benefit from a rotating collection of noise and texture toys to keep me mentally stimulated. I do however require a consistent environment so I can use my super-kitty senses to memorize and navigate spaces. Please make sure I know where my kitty litter is or I might have an accident if I get lost on my way to the loo!
When you meet me you'll see I have excellent smell and hearing which allow me to live a happy life, and my whiskers are excellent at letting me know when I'm approaching obstacles (though I do run into the odd wall when zooming).
My foster home has some doggies and I have been very excited to meet them so I may be suited to a playful but gentle dog. The resident cats were not game enough to befriend me, but I may be able to be paired with a playful, social cat.
My ideal home would be with someone who will keep me inside, is able to give me stability and continue teaching me the difference between hands and toys so I can learn to play appropriately. In return I can provide a lifetime of laughter and an excellent play buddy/companion.
