NOTE: You are unable to meet Barney until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Barney in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.

What I need in my new home:
• LARGE BREED KNOWLEDGE IS PREFERRED
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• I have previously been allowed inside with my family and am house trained. I really need this again as I can get quite stressed if I'm left outside on my own. My favourite thing in the world is hanging out with my people.
• A doggie playmate would be great, if not then lots of socialising with other dogs.
• A cat may be ok with a slow introduction but they must be dog savvy and not intimidated by my size.
• I like both friendly male and female dogs
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• I have previously lived with young children however I am a big playful boy who would accidentally knock them over and scare them so I need to go a home with older children who will be involved with my training.
• I have lots of energy so an active family is a must

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Small children due to being bouncy & excitable

My best features:
• Very playful, wiggle butt, social butterfly
• I can sit on command
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• For a dog my size, I walk well on lead
• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs
• My previous family has said I'm house trained

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I can be a bit bouncy -training should stop this
