About Miata
Girls just want to have fun!!
Meet Missy: our sweet-natured, playful, affectionate young girl. Only just out of puppyhood, Missy is looking for a caring new family who are willing to commit to helping guide Missy through her adolescence.
She has ended up at the shelter through no fault of her own &, although she was loved in her previous home, there are some gaps in her education. She has missed out on a few of the basics & will need some ongoing positive reinforcement training. Think loose leash walking & basic manners. The good news is that she is smart & keen to learn.
Missy LOVES her toys! She has her own little collection of stuffed toys which she happily carries around in her mouth. She also loves a game of fetch with balls or squeaky toys. Play is vital to dogs; it is both physically & mentally enriching & also helps build a super strong bond with them.
Missy is toilet trained & must be allowed to live indoors with her new family & be included in their activities. She loves her people & may fret if left alone for long periods. We will, therefore, be giving preference to those who are either working part-time or working from home.
She has not seen much of the world beyond the 4 walls of her previous home & so it is important that she is introduced to new places, people & experiences slowly & in a positive manner. This is key to building confident, resilient dogs.
We are open to the right family with Missy although we would recommend no tiny tots as she can still be a little jumpy & excitable. Interactions with small kids & dogs should always be supervised.
Missy enjoys the company of other dogs & is keen to invite them to play with her. She may be able to co-habit with another canine companion, a meet & greet prior to adoption is essential.
A secure fence of at least 5ft, a high-quality diet & lots of toys will all help to keep Missy happy, healthy & safe.
Missy's adoption fee is $350 which includes her desexing, heath check, microchip as well as up-to-date vaccinations, flea & worm treatments.
