About Opal
Opal has had a rough start to life, dumped on the side of the road in Mackay to fend for herself and then survived the deadly parvo virus. She was mistrusting of people and was afraid to go near them, she would growl if you came near her. However, she has come a long way from those beginnings to flourish into a loving and adventurous young pup. She still has trust issues with new people and takes a lot longer to come near you compared to her sister Bindi but once she trusts you, she loves cuddles and pats. She'll sleep next to you if you let her. She loves her food and is learning her basic manners, she has mastered sit so far. She is learning to walk on a leash and is learning recall to her name. Opal will need someone who will continue to show her the world is not a scary place and will need slow introductions to new things. She will need to continue her obedience training to continue to grow and flourish. She will need an owner who will have patience with her and will benefit from the company of another dog and someone who will continue to introduce her to the world outside of a backyard. If you think you have the skill and patience for a beautiful girl like Opal then please apply.
