Mavis

Meet one of our shelter favourites Mavis!

Although fluffy like a Poodle, Mavis has the temperament of a Maremma Sheepdog. She can be quite cautious when meeting new friends so her hoomans will need to understand this and be willing to working on boosting her confidence around unfamiliar people.

I know what you're thinking.. she looks like a big fluffy teddy, but Mavis hasn't learnt to appreciate handling, she kindly asks her hoomans put cuddles on hold until she builds her confidence when it comes to touching and handling.

Mavis tends to keep to herself most of the time. Children may be a little too much for her so she will require a home with adults only or older teens who understand she may need space at times.

We have no history of Mavis living with cats or pocket pets. However, she may be suitable to live with a doggo friend, pending a successful meet & greet at the shelter.

Weight: 21kg (with room to grow, still a puppy)
