About Honey Lemon
This is Honey Lemon
Where to begin? This little lady may not look like much, but in the past few weeks she has made tremendous strides and really grown into her personality ❤️ She is a sweet, gentle and docile girl, truly a perfect bun!
Honey was found in a warehouse with her 2 babies and surrendered to the pound. The first couple days she was with us, she cowered and whimpered loudly any time hands went near her and would only remain in her hidey house ? But it didn’t take long for her to realise that hoomans give great head pats and yummy food ? and she’s been a very trusting bun ever since and is only improving each day!
Though she is a mumma, she’s estimated to be only 1-2 years ✨ she will be desexed and vet-worked soon, but even now, she’s already super calm and litter trained ❤️
Pros:
✅ loves hooman attention
✅ not interested in cables
✅ not destructive, even when free-roaming she will go back to her pen to chew on her toys instead
✅ very calm, easygoing
✅ comes up to you and nudges for pats
✅ litter-trained!
✅ Big hay eater
✅ understands boundaries very well!
✅ super smart - immediately gets the knack of any puzzle/ IQ toy and does it correctly (instead of blindly digging and throwing it like our own buns )
She is still learning to be chill when picked up as she’s probably never been picked up prior BUT we made a great breakthrough last night, so don’t foresee this as a problem much longer!
We can tell Honey Lemon is really just grateful to have a home and a family to love. Will you be her forever family? ❤️

Adoption details
Our rescue rabbits are available with photos on our site at www.rabbitsanctuary.com.au
Our rabbits come desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and vet checked. They are available for a donation for your choice over $265 or $365 for a pair.
We only adopt to indoor homes in playpen/free range set ups so that our rabbits become part of your family with plenty of interaction. This also protects them from the heat and cold which rabbits are susceptible to and the viruses outdoors released to eliminate the wild rabbit population.
Please check out our website www.rabbitsanctuary.com.au to see all our bunnies available and to fill in an application form. You must provide a photo of your set up including a playpen, litter tray, hay rack, hidey house and some toys. When your application is approved you can choose any of our available rabbits.
