About Otis
Introducing the very timid Otis. Otis is a Spoodle born 28th May 2022.
Otis is an incredibly timid young man who hasn't had much human interaction.
He freezes in fear around new people, loud noises and other animals. Due to this his new owner will need to be calm & patient while he learns to trust you. When he gets scared he looks for an exit and tries to run away, so extreme caution needs to be taken when opening & closing doors/gates leading outside.
Due to his timidness we are recommending a home with no children.
It appears that Otis has never been on lead before and doesn't know how to walk on lead. He freezes and refuses to move when a lead is placed on him.
Otis was in the same kennel as another small, calm dog who he got along with, however he has been terrified when meeting all other dogs at the facility & has started barking at other dogs since she was adopted. If you have another small, calm & friendly dog at home we will need to do a meet & greet with him to ensure they get along before going home.
Otis was too scared to test with cats & pocket pets, so for the time being we are recommending a home with no small animals like cats, chickens & rabbits.

Otis’s adoption fee is $800, and this includes his desexing, vaccinations and lifetime registration. Otis is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.
Otis is currently located in East Maitland.

If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
