About Marbles
*In foster care in Marrickville, Sydney*
Marbles is loyal, highly affectionate, super-sweet and a gentle soul - all the good things! This playful, protective boy will make a fantastic companion for a solo owner who works from home or is retired.
Lovely Marbles adores sitting in your lap and snuggling on the couch (especially if there's a nice blanket involved!). He does get anxious with visitors, and will bark and hide under the couch. He was very timid and worried when he first came into foster care - taking around two weeks to adjust - so he'll likely need a similar amount of time to get comfortable in his new surroundings.
Like all Maggie's pets, Marbles is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will be with one calm, kind person in a quiet home. Someone who can give me lots of cuddles, kisses and belly rubs, and is around most of the day, would be best :)
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I love my daily walks, and set a brisk pace! I'm alert to noises and sudden movements around me; I prefer to avoid interacting with other people and dogs.
Oh, and I may be small, but happily I can jump up onto the couch for cuddles!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I don’t like babies or small children. Older teens are OK.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: At first I was pretty scared of my foster sister (an Aussie Silky Terrier) because of my anxiety, but two weeks later, we're getting along well. Though I must say I don’t like it when she gets more attention than me... so I'd prefer to be your one-and-only dog, ideally.
I've not spent any time with cats since coming into foster care.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
