About Sam
Oh hello there! I’m Sam, a sweet 10 year old cream Kelpie gentleman, looking for a relaxed home in which to enjoy my retirement years.
I love going for a morning walk, dinner time, belly rubs and all of the pats! While I am content chilling out and napping at your feet most of the day, don’t let my age fool you. I also love the occasional random zoomies and happily forget my age and wrestle with a doggy friend. Car trips and adventures are also great fun.
I am very well behaved in the house and I sleep quietly in my crate all night. I also walk nicely on lead and come when called. Other than “sit”, I am not too fussed about learning new tricks - old dogs and all that!
If you are looking for a low energy, gentle and lovely natured companion to potter around with, I am your guy! After working all my life, I am looking for a quiet retirement home with people that will shower me in love. In return I will give all the snuggles and smooches, and make you laugh.
I get along well with other dogs, so would be happy with or without a doggy pal. I am great with free range chickens, but get scared of loud noises, bikes and kids. A hobby farm or similar would suit me to perfection.
You should know, I have a few nicks and bumps cos of my working history, including a dicky knee that will need ongoing management with injections and medication. Foster mum can tell you about that though.
If I sound like your new best friend, apply now!

Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. A meet and greet can be arranged if both parties wish to proceed, and we also offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
