Florey

Introducing FLOREY, one of four Stumpy-Tail Cattle Dog mix puppies from The Aussie Hero Litter, born on 14 September 2022.

Little Miss Florey is named after Howard Florey, who with his team won the Nobel Prize in 1945 for the discovery and development of penicillin.

We can only speculate about Florey's breed mix. As at 9 November, she weighed 6.5 kgs so is on track to be a medium-sized dog at maturity. Her very short, light tan coat suggests he may have a dollop of Australian Ridgeback in her DNA.

She has a dear little stumpy tail, about 5 cms long, and the most beautiful, big, dark eyes.

Florey is an affectionate, playful and intelligent pup that gets on with all the other dogs, big and small, at her private foster home in Warwick. She's not the boss of the litter, but we can say she's "second in charge".

Preference will be given to homes where someone is around most of the time and/or there is another compatible dog for Florey to play with. Previous Cattle Dog experience will be well regarded.

Unless very well supervised, we don't recommend puppies for families with very small children as puppies can jump and chew and generally frighten a little person.

As always, secure fencing is essential.

Her adoption fee is $750. She's vaccinated and microchipped, as well as flea and worm-treated. Her adoption fee includes desexing when age appropriate.
