Juno

Juno is a very lovable and happy dog. She is always smiling and always follows her people around the house.

She sleeps outside in a kennel. During the day while the rest of the family is away she just chills by herself and lays in the sun. She will dig a tiny hole occasionally, and only when she has been left alone for too long.

She knows how to use a dog door and has never had an accident indoors. She knows that she is not allowed on the couch. Sometimes she will ask by putting a paw on the couch, but obeys after she is told ""no"".

She can fetch most of the way. She will focus and stalk and chase a ball, pick it up, and then drop it halfway back to you. She enjoys playing tug with a rope toy, and also shredding a rope toy.

She absolutely loves the water. She is a very good swimmer, and is used to the swimming pool and the beach. At the park it is very amusing to watch her try to snap at the water.

Juno still drools during short (10 to 15 minute) car trips, but hasn't thrown up in months.

She is food-motivated so she is easy to train. She waits patiently for her food, and you can even put your hand in her bowl or mess with her while she is eating. She shows no food aggression.

When meeting new people and new dogs, she gets excited and tends to jump. When this happens Juno is made to wait outside for 15 minutes until she relaxes and then she meets them properly. She is also quite strong, and pulls on the lead during walks. Her foster mum exercises her by using a long lead at the park so that she has the chance to run around. She needs at least daily walks. Juno responds to her name and has OK recall when there are no distractions.

I CAN FLY TO PERTH!
Flying for a few hours is very important for animals in remote locations because it gives us the opportunity to be adopted. Talk to SAFE about flying me to Perth - or with another kitten too because we can fly in the same crate!
