About Helen
Helen has been working hard on her manners with other dogs, and while she has improved immensely and makes generally good choices now with our help and guidance, she will be best suited as a single dog with sensible owners who can be mindful of the dogs she interacts with and the situations she is put in.
Helen loves making friends, just gets easily excited about it, and doesn’t always make the best first impression on new canines. Helen also loves food; she is a very responsive and engaging dog, who loves to learn and is very easy to train. She doesn’t mind a bit of a chase after a toy, however, she is a busy girl and can get a bit distracted, especially since she doesn’t always see much point in the toy itself, it’s more what it does (running away!).
Helen can be quite excited when first on lead, like a lot of dogs, but she settles quite quickly and then walks generally well on the lead and is easy to handle. Helen loves being active and being involved in things, and she would enjoy being in a home where she gets to have adventures and chances to go out and explore the world. She is friendly with people and is happy to come in close for some pats, but is also then content to go off and do her own thing as well. She is a lovely mix of energy and off switch and is a really fun dog.
