About Penny
Penny’s manners with dogs are a bit of a work in progress; she gets quite excited and can then come on a little strong, which is very off-putting for most dogs! She means well, just struggles to regulate her excitement, and then she also isn’t always the best at realising where her body is in space; she will be best suited as a single dog, with a sensible owner who can just be very selective with the dogs she interacts with, and how she is doing so, to continue to build calm and appropriate social skills.
Penny loves her treats and will be very easy to train. She is also a playful dog, without being over the top about her toys; she enjoys a bit of a lope after them, and generally brings them back fairly close to her handler- not quite a full fetch, but close! Along with her dog skills, Penny’s lead skills are also a work in progress; she can walk really nicely, but again when that excitement takes hold she is not quite as sensible and is a little more fresh and busy and needs some redirection. Penny is a really confident girl, who is super curious about just about everything and she would love to be in a home where she can be included in lots of activities and adventures.
