About Maya

Maya is a bodacious, scruffy lady who is truly one of a kind and makes for a fabulous companion for those who like that relaxed fit lifestyle!
Her favourite activities include chilling, napping, snacking and trips to the beach where she wades in the water and strolls along the sand. She walks well on leash, although sometimes needs a little motivation to get moving off the couch.
Like all Maggie's pets, Maya is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I would like a low key home, I can be quite shy upon first meet but quickly warm when I know who's got access to the treats.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I'm more of a couch potato than ultimate athlete and only need a gentle daily stroll or swim.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I would prefer my humans 10 and up due to my shy nature.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I have previously lived with my brother and got along famously, I am happy to go to the park and enjoy dogs that are cool, calm and collected than in my face. I would quite happily live with another dog if they enjoyed just hanging out and not wrestling and rumbling. I'm not a cat fan.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
