If you’re looking for a giant dog to cuddle and who is incredibly loving and affectionate, then let me introduce you to Seymour. Seymour can't wait to be part of a forever family who has someone home a lot of the time, or who has a friendly doggy companion to keep him company.

Seymour is fully toilet trained, knows how to sit and is learning to drop. He is very keen to please and is great in the car. He is learning to tolerate a lead - he doesn't pull too much but is so strong that a halti style harness is recommended and he is still learning how to manage one of those. Ongoing training and socialisation with other dogs will be important.

Seymour is still a puppy at heart and loves to chew when he’s bored, so he will need a home willing to provide enrichment toys and some good boredom busters to prevent his chewing tendencies. Seymour needs a yard with space for him to play and move those long legs.

Seymour has really appreciated comfy bedding in his foster home and happily sleeps all night on his bed in his foster parent's lounge room. Seymour still needs some help learning boundaries - he is not aware of his size or of people's personal space and just wants to sit on your lap or lean against you. As a result, any children in his forever family should be upper primary or older as he doesn't know his own strength at times. Seymour's favourite place is on the couch with his people, and the family lucky enough to get this beautiful boy will be in for lots of cuddles, but they will also need to continue his training to help him be the best dog he can be.

Seymour needs a family who have large breed experience as his size may be overwhelming without prior contact with large dogs.
