About Jessie
This smiling lass is Jessie a Belgian Shepherd Malinois x dutch shepherd. However when she came to us just recently she was confused. Her owner had recently had heart surgery and knew she really could not properly care for an active Belgian cross girl during her recovery. Jessie had only been adopted 8 months ago, her previous owner had died. She was just getting over the grieving and was still very anxious. Jessie was not new to us because she had originally been adopted from HPH. We knew what a beautiful girl she was how loving and fun loving she could be. She is finding her smile again and we feel confident that she is ready for adoption but needs to be in a home where there is someone calm around her most of the time. She is an obedient lass and likes other dogs of the same energy level. Being a Belgian Shepherd cross, means that she would be best homed with somebody who understands the breed is home a lot and prepared to have her indoors. She can be reactive to strangers due to her anxiety. Belgians are extremely intelligent and need mental stimulation the firm but gentle hand of a confident owner and boundaries set made clear and adhered to. In return you will get...... EVERYTHING that a loyal loving intelligent active special girl can offer. Please consider Jessie if you can offer what she needs

Adoption details
HappyPaws Haven is fussy about who adopts these animals and where they are housed and cared for. The adoption criteria is documented as a questionnaire and strictly adhered to. We do not adopt animals to people who rent unless they are long term rental at the same address and have landlords written permission.
We ask if they have thought about the attributes they want in a dog, lifestyle, childrens ages, prepared to train, etc. We also talk about responsible pet ownership, fully fenced yards, hours unattended etc. and finally a vet reference.
