About Charlie
Hi! I’m Charlie and I’m looking for a new family to call my own.
APPLICATION PROCESS APPLIES FOR (name)
PLEASE COMPLETE THE BELOW APPLICATION FORM
https://forms.gle/qtS8PZdVGzjyxdFf8
NOTE: You are unable to meet Charlie until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Charlie in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.
What I need in my new home:
• Short regular walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• To be allowed inside with my family
• Secure Fencing
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• A family who promises to keep me well-groomed and brush me regularly so I’m always looking and feeling my best
• Lots of love and attention
• I'm happy to go to a home with another little chilled out dog like myself but I don't want a home with a big or bouncy playful doggo.
• I LOVE LOVE LOVE people, so I'm just as happy being an only dog getting all of your love and attention for myself
• A quiet & mature family/household - this is what I am used too
• A family that will love and care for me during my twilight years
• I appeared scared of cats when meeting them at the shelter, If going to a home with a cat they must be dog savvy, and we must be introduced slowly.
Things that I don’t want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
My best features:
• Wiggle butt
• Gentle & placid
• I have had some basic obedience training and am a generally well-mannered dog
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I walk well on lead
• I love attention, hugs, kisses & head scratches
• Well mannered
• Love to snooze on the couch
• Housetrained and used to being allowed inside
Extras to know about me:
• I am scared of thunder & fireworks and will hide and whine. I will require a safe space to retreat to during these events as well as comfort and reassurance from my family.
Medical notes
My vets did a health check on my last year and I was found to have back pain in my lower thoracic lumbar spine, nothing serious came from this but I have been on Antinol for the past year and it has really helped keep my back pain at bay. My new owner will need to continue providing this pain relief for me. I take it every second day and it seems to work perfectly for me.
