About Oakley
Hello lovely people.
Oakley here your new family member - shy at first but once I know you are my family, I'm very affectionate. So, dust off those hands and let the patting begin.
I have unfortunately (no fault of my mine) missed out on important early socialisation. So, I can be worried in new environments and when meeting new people.
I do need a calm patient owner that will give me a little extra time to settle into my new digs.
I would like a denning area such as a crate, that can be my safe space in my new home, where I can go if I feel overwhelmed or worried.
Once I know you are my family I do enjoy climbing into your lap for pats and endless affection.
Feeding from enrichment to keep his brain active is a must and once I'm all settled in my new digs, we can start some basic training.
I must be allowed in doors as this is where my people are at, where I can enjoy time with the whole family.
I'm quite worried and unsure when first meeting dogs, so off lead areas are too scary for me.
I would benefit going home with another adult dog who is well established in the home.
If you think you are the perfect family, submit your application and who knows we could be calling you soon for a meet. https://www.rspcaqld.org.au/apply-to-adopt
