Meet Ophelia
A beautiful cuddly energetic bundle of joy.
Ophelia loves nothing better than a long walk, food, toys and just being with and cuddling you on the couch.
Ophelia walks well on the lead. Her foster home is in an apartment so she will normally get 2 walks a day or a session of tug a war to get out her sillies.
She can be left alone for 5+ hours if she gets the chance to exercise at least once every day. Her foster careers have never come home to any damage when she has been left alone or any poo or wee surprises (very well toilet trained!).
Ophelia loves people around and initially, she will be anxious and bark/cry when left alone. However, this only lasts around 5-10 mins and once she’s comfortable knowing she's secure she will be off on the couch snoring her butt off.
Ophelia is deaf so misses audible queues in play so therefore she should not be housed with kids under 14. Sometimes she gets excited and starts mouthing your feet however with proper training this could be eliminated.
Ophelia is dog friendly to a degree. Dogs in her home need to be submissive and not over-excitable. She is a dominant dog who will correct dogs that are excitable (even though she is). Dogs in public seem to be ok if they are not doing crazy stuff.
Ophelia is deaf and eager to please and understand your commands. No need to learn special signals for her. Her foster careers have a few already but it would not be difficult to teach her your own new queues. Occasionally they notice her reacting to a sound so there may be some frequencies she responds to.
Ophelia would thrive in a forever home that had the time to not only expand her training but also take her for walks, love her and give her the opportunity to reach her true potential.
She is a big, sweet, beautiful girl with a lot of love to give.
