Clyde is a wonderful, friendly pup who deserves an amazing home. We do ask applicants to read his medical notes before applying.
Our vet has diagnosed Clyde with a leaky heart valve. Initially this won't affect Clyde's life apart from his new owner ensuring Clyde doesn't put too much weight on once he's fully grown, and that he has regular, short walks (long walks may be too much). Later on, at aound 6-7 years, he will likely need medication for congestive heart failure. The condition will be likely to shorten his life by a few years. Our Dog Coordinator is happy to chat about Clyde's condition and answer any questions the successful applicant may have. Clyde's adoption fee has been reduced in consideration of his diagnosis.
Clyde will possibly grow into quite a medium-large dog if his paws are anything to go by. A typical puppy, Clyde will need lots of your love, along with training, play time and interaction with you, his new family.
Young pups don't generally cope for long periods without people, and Clyde would love a home where someone is around for company most of the time at least while he's young and settling in. Time spent with you will give him the best start and reduce behaviours such as barking, digging or trying to escape, which can develop if a pup is lonely or bored on his own.
As Clyde grows into an adult dog he will benefit from ongoing socialisation, encountering new dogs, people and places.
If you are looking for a fantastic new family addition to grow up in your home, and can take Clyde's medical condition into consideration, then we'd love to hear from you.
MEDICAL NOTES
