About Pumpkin
Introducing the timid Pumpkin. Pumpkin is a Schnauzer x Maltese born 1st November 2018.
Pumpkin is an incredibly timid girl who hasn't had much human interaction. She freezes in fear around new people, loud noises and other animals. Due to this her new owner will need to be calm & patient while she learns to trust you. When she gets scared she looks for an exit and tries to run away, so extreme caution needs to be taken when opening & closing doors/gates leading outside.
Due to her timidness we are recommending a home with no children.
It appears that Pumpkin has never been on lead before and doesn't know how to walk on lead. She freezes and refuses to move when a lead is placed on her.
Pumpkin's in the same kennel as another small, calm dog who she seems to get along with, however she has been terrified when meeting all other dogs at the facility. If you have another small, calm & friendly dog at home we will need to do a meet & greet with her to ensure they get along before going home.
Pumpkin was too scared to test with cats & pocket pets, so for the time being we are recommending a home with no small animals like cats, chickens & rabbits.
If you think you could be that furever family for Pumpkin, please contact our friendly staff via email at ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com or 0499 900 272 to organise a meet and greet.
Pumpkin’s adoption fee is $800, and this includes her desexing, vaccinations and lifetime registration. Pumpkin is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.
Pumpkin is currently located in East Maitland.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
