About Bunny
Bunny is a 16 week old mixed breed girl. We are not sure on her exact breed but we were told she may be a mix of kelpie and terrier.
As we dont know her exact breed we don't know how big she will get.
Judging by her current size she will be at least a medium size dog when fully grown.
Currently she is 6kg and stands about 40cm tall.
Our sweet, cheeky and very playful puppy Bunny is ready to find her forever home.
Bunny came to us earlier this month after being rescued interstate, where she had to have her right hind leg amputated due to injury before coming to us.
Bunny has been an extremely confident and boisterous puppy from day one!
She loves to wrestle with the other dogs, loves toys and doing zoomies.
Bunny is very affectionate and adores giving you cuddles and kisses all over, she is amazing with children, but as she is still a puppy with sharp teeth, children over the age of 5 years is preferred.
Bunny has been great with cats and absolutely adores other dogs, the more the merrier.
Bunny sleeps in bed with her carer and likes to snuggle under the doona.
Bunny has a voice and isn't afraid to use it, especially when playing with the other dogs and or when she wants your attention.
We have been monitoring Bunny to see how her missing leg may be affecting her and we are pleased to say that she hasn't shown any signs of pain or discomfort with this leg, her remaining legs are supporting her very well too.
It is as though she has always only ever had three legs.
We have done X-rays and she has seen our vets and they are very happy with Bunny's overall mobility and her X-ray results.
As she is still growing we hope that she will continue to gain more muscle in her remaining legs.
Bunny will need a home with another dog for her to play with and learn from.
She is still learning toilet training so this is something her new owners will need to continue to work on with her.
Bunny is getting more confident walking on lead but she needs 1 more vaccination before she can go to the park to play.
If you think Bunny would suit you and your family please apply
Medical notes
Bunny has had her hind leg removed due to injury before coming into care.
