About Jeffy
Jeffy is a handsome as heck, almost 4 year old jet black boy with a speckled white chest and dainty white toe socks. *Thump* is the sound of your heart flip-flopping and the sound of Jeffy's happiness - powered by his swishy
tail.
When he's not catching up on his beauty sleep, Jeffy's favourite thing is his two minute zoomies around the house. Bubbly, affectionate, legs akimbo - our gorgeous goober is ready to fill your home with laughter and soft toy snow. Anything that goes squeak sets Jeffy in motion and he'll gallop from room to room with gleeful abandon.
A foodie at heart, Jeffy is responsive to his name and a snack, and he may
help himself to that sandwich you've very thoughtfully left on the kitchen
bench. Jeffy enjoys a twice daily sniffari and, be warned every driveway and shopfront has the possibility to lead to new friends and pats - he just
loves to say hello to everyone he meets. He can jump easily into the car,
has mastered climbing up and down stairs and even knows what treats, walkies and breakfast mean!
Jeffy has learnt that in every household there resides a monster that is
allowed to hoover up any stray crumbs that were destined for Jeffy's tum,
He is also not a fan of that things humans push across the yard, the noisy beast that devours the salad bar that Jeffy had yet to sample. Jeffy would also like to request that the sky bangs (thunderstorms) cease to exist as well.
Jeffy is in foster care in the city so busy street life doesn't faze him and he is fine with elevators. He would like his human to be home more often than not. He would also happily live with a suitable hound companion. He loves his people so much and he's more than ready to get to know you!

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
