About Elmo
Elmo has just turned 2.
He is a Mini Poodle, only a little dog - maybe 7 or 8kg at most. (We will confirm that)
Elmo needs someone who is going to treat him like royalty.
He needs to be inside with you. Getting pats, cuddles, walks and attention. He is fine with other smaller dogs and hit and miss with the bigger ones (depends if he feels frightened by them or not).
Perhaps someone who works from home or an active retired person?
If children are in the house, he would be best suited to children who understand how to read dogs body language and give space when needed. He has nipped a child before in the past we are told but the circumstances are unknown. We believe the child was trying to stop him barking at a neighbouring dog and it may have been redirected.
We have not seen those behaviours here with our children but we are open and honest with what we know and like a lot of little dogs, small children can get nipped if not careful.
Elmo travels well in the car and is quite the watch dog.
He has had basic obedience training but still has a lot to learn. We work with him each day to better his skills.
No known health issues.
He will need regular grooming/clipping.
His adoption includes a groom, desexing, chip and vaccination.
Send us a message if you are interested in an adoption form. Successful applicants will be invited out to meet him.
Adoption details
All animals come with a 7 day trial period (this is negotiable depending on case by case differences, and will be discussed accordingly with anyone having queries)
After this time, and knowing that both the family and pet are happy together, the adoption will be finalized.
If an animal is to be returned for whatever reason during this 7 day period, a 10% (of the adoption price) administration fee will be taken out of the refund. Animals returned after this time, unfortunately forfeit the adoption price.
We are mostly located in Jimboomba on the outskirts of logan, around 30-45 mins south of Brisbane, although some animals can be in care throughout the greater Brisbane region.
