Hi, My name is Matt.

I’m looking for my permanent family to love and cuddle.

I’m a happy go lucky and innocent little man. I weigh approx. 11kg at the moment. No food aggression at all, sometimes we all eat bones outside. My foster family has a self-feeder of dry biscuits out all the time so I snack on them as I need and sometimes, I get wet food too. I do love treats for training and that gets me very excited and very eager to please. Currently I know my name, “come” (most of the time), I can “sit” and I can “lay”.

I live with 2 dogs at the moment and I play very well with them. Sometimes I will bounce and bark to initiate play but overall, I play very gentle as my main current play partner is a 5-month-old chihuahua x. I also currently live with a cat. He is a bit grumpy though and doesn’t like when I look at him and follow him around but hey – that’s what border collies do, so he can hardly blame me!

I’m quite good on the lead on my own, or if I’m with another dog I like to be in-front or at the same level as them. I have only been on the lead a little bit so I am still learning that.

I think that I would really love being in a house with other pets for entertainment and also in a family who is quite active or has a big space for me to enjoy myself in.

I love to sit at your feet and be petted. All I want is to be part of a family who loves and cares about me and lets me be part of the action – I even dressed up for Halloween here with everyone else! I love to play with chew toys and goat horns.

I'm pretty well toilet trained. Currently I have a dog door which I use and I am very good at it but I have had a couple of peeing accidents when I have been sidetracked doing something. I also use the dog door to let myself out to bake in the sun now that it is warming up!
