About Link
Introducing Link - the sweetest, cheekiest, smartest, most loving boy. After a big game of tug o war or after doing laps of zoomies in the hallway, Link likes to end his day curled up next to (or on top of) his foster carer.
Link is semi-crate trained and has learnt to sleep through the night. You’ll often find him playing with his favourite toys of a morning before it’s time to get out of bed.
He has been left alone at home crated for multiple hours at a time without a fuss. Currently Link isn’t left home alone uncrated as he is still going through the typical puppy-teething-everything-is-a-toy phase. His crate is his safe spot and if you can’t see him curled up on the couch you’ll likely find him in his crate sound asleep!
Toilet training is going super well! He knows to go out when nature calls and if the door isn’t open he has learnt to sit and wait to be let out.
Link is learning how to walk loosely on a lead around the backyard but will require further training and guidance when in public as he hasn’t had much experience out in the big world. He has mastered sitting, is learning to stay for each meal and is beginning to recognise “I’ll be back” when you head out.
As a typical puppy, his go-to method of play is nipping and barking as he gets so excited to play that he forgets his puppy teeth can be quite sharp. He is learning how to play gently and he typically responds well to no or ‘uh uh’ .
He has met a toddler and absolutely loved having a human of his size around. As he is a puppy that is still learning how to play nicely and gently, he can be a bit jumpy and nippy so should be monitored around smaller children.
Toys are the bees-knees to Link and there’s never too many to play with! A ball, a squeak, a rope - whatever it is Link will love it. Car travel is also going well.
We're looking for an experienced home that will include him in the family and all the outings and adventures. He can easily live with another playful dog or if someone is home most days. You'll need to be committed to his ongoing training, socialisation, health and happiness.
Link would suit most homes that can provide a loving and warm environment as long as he is mentally and physically stimulated (he does love playing chasies with the neighbours kelpie and cavoodle and is a great way to release some of his energy!).
Overall Link is a sweetheart who just wants a loving family, lots of treats and warm inside bed at night.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
